What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

When life turns against us, it's easy to feel that we're on our own. Plans fall apart, doors close, and everything around us seems to be working against us. Yet even then, we are not alone. There is a God who holds our hand.

“For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’” (Isaiah 41:13)

When it feels like the end

There are moments when we're sure that everything is finished. A relationship breaks down, a diagnosis comes, or a hope we carried for years fades away. But what looks like the end to us is never the end to God. He goes on caring for us long after we've run out of answers.

He is the Shepherd who walks beside us through every difficult season. He doesn't leave us to stay in the shadow of death. He walks with us through the valley and leads us out the other side.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” (Psalm 23:4)

When the world turns away

Even if the whole world rejects us, God draws us close to his heart. People may misunderstand us, forget us or walk away, but his love never depends on their approval.

“When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.” (Psalm 27:10)

Victory is already yours

This is why Paul could ask with such confidence, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Not because his life was easy, but because God was with him in every trial. The same is true for you today. Whatever you face, you don't face it alone, and you don't face it defeated. Because God is with you, the victory is already yours.

“No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
